Community Matron
Our community matron visits our home once a week. During this time, she will visit any resident who we have concerns about. Sometimes relatives will raise a medical concern about their loved one and we will pass these onto our community matron. Our community matron usually visits every Tuesday. We are also able to phone the matron during the week if we have any additional concerns.
Doctor Visits
Our duty Doctor visit's the home monthly for a ward round. During this visit, we will discuss any medical concerns we have about our residents'. The doctor then acts on these concerns and provides the correct course of treatment. The doctor will also review medication regularly.

Respite Care
We offer respite care. This could be from a couple of days, ranging to a couple of months and we can be flexible on dates to suit your needs. Respite care could be essential due to an illness or families going on holiday who want peace of mind knowing their loved one is recieving 24 hour care. During their stay, they will have access to activity groups, home-cooked meals and lots of opportunities to socialise with our residents if they wish.
Activity Mornings
During the week we have activities to enjoy. Examples include: dominoes, quizzes, talk and reminiscence sessions, bingo, gentle exercises, and song. We welcome suggestions from our residents about the kinds of activities they might like to introduce to the life of the home, and try to plan around individuals’ interests and needs. Providing stimulating past times and activities is vital to the improvement of health and wellbeing, and the promotion of independence.
Entertainment
Whenever we can, we like to sample some of the many musical performers the area has to offer. Our lounge has played venue to countless stirring performances -- all the way from Elvis impersonators, to bell ringers and carol parties at Christmas.
