Lovely to see Tony’s grand piano back at Bearwardcote and installed into the main dining room!  If anyone is able to play the piano they are more than welcome to come and give us a tune.

Elvis made a return visit today, bringing some sound and glamour to what began as a dull and murky late-January day.  Elvis and dancers gave, as always, a blistering show  — everyone in the lounge was enlivened by the King’s much-loved repetoire.  We hope these amazing performers come back real soon.

Elvis and his dancers, the Sweet Inspirations, return to entertain us on Thursday, January 11th.  We had thought the King had retired for good this time, but he’s summoned his troupe of dancers and is sallying out for another run.  This is the best way I can think of to shake ... Christmas Raffle Great Success!

Thank you so much to everyone who donated items to our Christams raffle this year, and to everyone who bought tickets.  We made a whopping £277.37 in ticket sales, which we can use to buy Christmas presents for our residents.  Well done everyone!  A special thank you to Vicky for putting the amazing hampers together ... Secret Santa paid us a very welcome visit today. Each year this incredibly generous volunteer-led scheme provides Christmas gifts for all of our residents. It is a wonderful idea, based on the simple desire to make sure nobody goes without a Christmas present. A big thank you to Secret Santa — whoever you are!
